Getting started
Everything JASM stores lives on wafers. Put wafers in a Deck and carry it with you. Link the Deck to a powered Archive to keep backups, so a lost wafer can be rebuilt onto a blank one.

A first hour
- Grow Data Crystals on a block of amethyst.
- Cut them into chips by hand.
- Craft your first Capacity Wafer and a Starter Deck.
- Build a Chip Workshop and befriend a wild Bitling to work in it. Link Chips come only from there.
How the tiers use the chips
The first tier of every wafer, Deck, generator and cable is made from vanilla items. From there on, recipes use JASM's own chips. Every higher tier needs the tier below it, and nothing it holds is lost on the way up.
