Networks

Machines that are joined by Data Cables form a network. So do JASM machines that simply touch each other, with no cable at all.
What counts as a machine
A network can only hold so many machines. The Network Brain page has the numbers. Everything that does a job counts:
- Encoding Terminals, Recipe Racks and Crafting Servers.
- Access Ports and every other port.
- Archives.
- Chip Workshops, Crystal Foundries and Bitling Stations.
Cables, generators, Creative Batteries, brains and chambers don't count. Neither do the two bays and the Crystal Resonator.
A row of five Archives side by side is a network of five.
Who may use it
The network belongs to the player who set it up. The owner can trust other players at an Encoding Terminal. Trusted players can use the blocks and Archives on that network. Different players' networks never join. See co-op play for everything you can share.
Seeing the network
A linked Deck has a Network tab. It lists every machine, as a list or a branching tree, with where it is and whether it works.
Power
Cables carry power too. See power.
